The behemoths of the tech industry, Google and Apple, have been going at each other since the smart phone boom began back in 2007. The tech world changed completely when Steve Jobs took to the stage back in 2007, and introduced the world’s first iPhone. Upon its release a month later, the iPhone sold off like hot cakes, with people lining up in extensive queues just to get their hands on the device. Nobody really knew at the time that Google was going to be entering the smartphone market then. Apple was the dominator, the apex predator of the chain. There were other competitors, like the Blackberry devices, but the silky smooth touch that the iPhone provided was second to none. It was clear to everybody that touch screen phones were the future, and companies soon realized what they had to be focusing on. For Apple, the company became a trendsetter.
